The professional development provides for training and education of Civil Air Patrol Senior Members.

• Level I (Level One) - Description

This is the first course for new senior members. This one day program includes an introduction to Civil Air Patrol, its missions, organization, publications, history and uniform. Part of the course includes the Cadet Protection Training, which teaches senior members CAP policies in the cadet program, their responsibilities with respect to cadets and helps them identify child abuse.

• The United States Air Force Institute for Advanced Distributed Learning provides many correspondence courses available to CAP members. There are many courses available including:

Registration for SLS and CLC: All applicants must submit a CAPF 17 at least two weeks prior to the start day of the training course.
